Randwick Undercover Carpark
Complete removal and replacement of the asphalt pavement in an undercover carpark, finished with new line marking to the bays and driveway.
Scope of works
The project involved the complete removal and replacement of the existing asphalt pavement within the undercover carpark. Works were carried out to improve the structural integrity of the base, address deterioration, and provide a long-lasting, high-quality asphalt finish.
Works performed
Asphalt removal and waste disposal
- Saw cut, mill and excavate the existing aged asphalt pavement to a depth of 50 mm, up to 90 t of waste.
Base preparation
- Exposed the underlying base material, regraded to ensure correct levels, and compacted as required.
- Identified and rectified any soft spots to improve load-bearing capacity.
Asphalt resurfacing
- Supplied and laid new AC10HD hot-mix asphalt at 50 mm thickness, up to 90 t of asphalt.
- Compacted to achieve a smooth, durable and uniform finish throughout the 700 m² carpark area.
Finishing works
- Completed line marking for car bays and the main driveway, enhancing traffic flow and safety.
Outcome
The newly resurfaced undercover carpark provides improved durability, smoother vehicle access, and enhanced overall presentation. The works were completed to a high standard, meeting client expectations for both quality and functionality.
