Dnata Pavement Rehabilitation
Targeted removal and replacement of damaged asphalt through an operating freight and logistics yard, rebuilt to take heavy-duty traffic.
Scope of works
This project involved the targeted removal and replacement of damaged asphalt pavement within the designated Dnata operational area. Works were completed to restore structural integrity, improve surface performance, and ensure compliance with heavy-duty traffic requirements.
Works performed
Pavement removal and waste disposal
- Saw cut and excavated the outlined damaged pavement areas to a depth of 100 mm.
- Removed and disposed of up to 27 t of asphalt waste in accordance with environmental standards.
Base preparation
- Regraded and compacted the exposed base material to ensure correct levels and structural stability.
- Rectified any deficiencies in the base to enhance load-bearing capacity.
Asphalt resurfacing
- Supplied, laid and compacted new AC14HD hot-mix asphalt to a thickness of 100 mm.
- Ensured a smooth, durable and uniform surface suitable for high-load operational use.
Outcome
The rehabilitated pavement area now provides a stronger, longer-lasting surface capable of withstanding heavy-duty traffic demands. The works were completed to a high standard, within project timelines, and with minimal disruption to ongoing Dnata operations.
