Strata Parking Lot Restoration
Full asphalt mill and fill across a strata driveway and parking bays, with kerb and garden bed modifications, base repairs and new line marking.
Scope of works
This project involved a full asphalt mill and fill operation for the main driveway and parking bays, incorporating kerb and garden bed modifications, base repairs, and new line marking. The works were completed to improve structural durability, vehicle accessibility, and site presentation.
Works performed
Pavement removal and waste disposal
- Saw cut, milled and excavated the outlined existing pavement areas to a depth of 50 mm, up to 255 t of asphalt and road base waste, across 1,910 m².
- Main driveway area of 970 m² milled an additional 50 mm, removing up to 122 t of asphalt and road base waste.
- Removed small concrete repairs at the rear of the property.
- Removed a broken section of kerb at the site entrance, relocated the garden bed, and reinstated a new curved concrete kerb to minimise vehicle impact risk.
Base preparation
- Regraded and re-compacted exposed base material to ensure structural stability and correct levels.
- Converted garden bed area was prepared and reinforced for future vehicle traffic.
Asphalt resurfacing
- Supplied, laid and compacted a base layer of AC14HD hot-mix asphalt at 50 mm in the pre-milled driveway area.
- Supplied, laid and compacted a final wearing course of AC14HD hot-mix asphalt at 50 mm across the full 1,910 m², ensuring a flush finish with surrounding pavements.
- Additional 173 m² at the front of the property included in the asphalt scope.
Finishing works
- Completed line marking for 40 car bays and the main driveway, enhancing traffic flow and safety.
Outcome
The project delivered a structurally sound, visually appealing and functionally enhanced pavement area. The upgraded driveway and parking bays now provide improved traffic management, safer access, and extended service life for high-use vehicle areas. All works were completed to a high standard, within schedule, and with minimal disruption to site operations.
